Here I am again - better late than never, I guess.
I think that I don't blog very often because there isn't much going on in my life. Most of my life can be summarized in a status line on facebook. To come up with a whole blog that might be interesting to any readers is kind of a stretch at this point.
The interesting things I did this week were: Community Life group at Loewen's on Sunday. Wednesday evening Lee and I went to eat with Carolyn and Rich. That was great fun.Good conversation with good friends. After that I went to Faith Church to a meeting with their Health and Fitness group that my diabetes educator, Lindsey, was facilitating. She had her sister-in-law there to help these mostly seniors experience some exercise. I really enjoyed it, which kind of surprised me because I seem to avoid exercise like the plague. The next day I even went and bought some exercise bands to work parts of the old bod with. Milestone for Helen, here!!
Then today, Friday, my friend Ruth and I went to the Sedgwick County Historical Society's Wreath Festival and luncheon. That was fun to do something really different. There were very few wreaths however,so that was a bit of a disappointment. The lunch was good, and we looked around at the exhibit of a replica of a Victorian Era Wichita home. That was interesting, and fun to see the Victorian stuff. We walked through the gift shop, but didn't buy much. I just found a really pretty card for my sister that I will probably lose by her birthday in March.
After we were done there, Ruth asked me to go to the Nifty Nut House on St Francis St. I'd never been there. That was fun too. I guess we just missed Kristi Alley by 5 minutes. Harummph. They have every single kind of nut and/or candy you might want. I found some smooth and creamy wafer mints like we had at our wedding way back when, and some vanilla non praiells, and got some peppermint bark for Mom and some jelly beans for Lee. So I am WAY off my diabetic diet tonight.
On top of all that snitch a piece stuff, Lee brought home some "no sugar added" Klondike Bars 'for me,' he said. 'Course, He had to have one also - just to see how they taste. They are good.
That is most of what I did this week. The rest of the time is spent on Facebook, Yoville, reading or some (very little) cleaning. I talked to David and Erin on the phone this week.
Oh yes, I also spent some time trying to bead band for my med alert bracelet. Did two on stretchy string and had them hooked up last night after I finished, then one broke when I was taking it off. Shoot. Oh well, still have one. May try to do another again later.
So, dear blog readers, that is the business of my week. I don't take pictures of my life, and I don't use a good camera like Megan or Andrea do, or Debby. So this is what it is.
Til next time....Keep blogging, girls. I love reading about your children and grandchildren. And looking at your pictures. You all do a great job at this new medium. Thanks!

Wednesday night dinner was great. Nice to have some 1-1 time. Looking forward to having you and Mom on Thanksgiving!
Hugs!
